My central message and the essence of who I am as a speaker and teacher is encapsulated by this verse from scripture:
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. – 2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)
Through my Being Brave retreats, messages and bible teaching, I help women and teens, in large or small groups, experience and embrace their divine birthright as courageous, compassionate and powerful women of God. Through connection to one another and to God, we remember we are brave.
Here are some of the questions we explore in my Being Brave messages:
- How does your inner critic steal your power?
- What lights you up and makes you feel alive?
- How do we turn up the volume on God’s voice in our lives?
- How does comparison with others steal our joy?
- What does it mean to live in community?
- What are God’s dreams for our lives?
- What does God’s Word say about who we are and who we can become?
- How do we partner with God in loving and healing our hurting world?
- How can we make our story better, bigger, braver?
My Being Brave message can be offered in a shorter workshop session or a one or two-day retreat format. If you would be interested in talking about how I might be able to serve you, your organization or church group for an upcoming event, please contact me using the form at the bottom of this page.
Testimonials of Being Brave participants:
I am leaving here feeling empowered to take the next right step in my journey towards bravery. I’ve learned the vital need to turn down the voice of my pesky inner critic and turn up the volume of my heavenly Father’s voice.
This retreat blended all the elements of women’s struggles into a safe zone and wrapped each of us in the arms of God!
I loved the opportunity to be genuine and transparent with one another. All the sessions were excellent, but I especially loved the discussion of shame.
What an excellent retreat! It provided an opportunity to really dig deep into some areas and honestly face the areas needing improvement in a safe and vulnerable environment. Thanks for being brave, Kelly! You inspired and encouraged me to go forth without fear!
