This is a picture of me and my Daddy. He went home to be with Jesus on Sunday evening. Like all of us, he was broken. Like many of us, his brokenness got in the way of his understanding and living in the depth and breadth of God’s tremendous love for him. Today he is face to face with His heavenly Father and now he finally understands. Today he is finally healed and whole in a way that he could never experience in this life. Although my heart is broken, today I choose to rejoice.
Amen!
Kelly, I’m so sorry that your dad is no longer with you on this planet. I am so delighted that you got to sing at his wedding just a short time ago. You are surrounded by a great many friends and family members who love you a great deal.
Kelly,
Beautiful writing and photo…I love how you said “I choose to rejoice.” Please know how much you are loved and cared for by so many-including me. I am praying for you…that you would feel a peace that can only come from above and that you would feel held in the very hands of Jesus.
I love you, my friend.
Love, Jenny
Oh Kelly,
I logged on to your blog just now, *knowing* that you would have a photo of your daddy on here. I just knew….
What a treat to discover that the photo is of the two of you, so obviously enjoying one another. Stay strong, dear friend, and sing your heart out tomorring. Know that all of your girlfriends will be praying our hearts out for you.
Hey good friend and fellow storyteller. I made a point to think of you and your family today around 11:00 am as you asked. Some how the sound of you singing just happend to pop in my head. I’m sure you father was proud of you today(several fathers by the way).
Stay well, stay strong and I commit to honor your wish of keeping you laughing along your journey.

Kelly, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I think the photo that you’ve posted is a wonderful tribute to the (obvious) love you have for each other, and which I know continues and is even stronger today. I know you have a tremendous family and wonderful friends to support you through this time, but know that I’m adding my prayers for you to the mix.
