In October of last year, I led my first Being Brave retreat at the beautiful Caol Ait Retreat Center. Sixteen brave ladies joined me and we spent a gorgeous fall day together talking about what it means to be brave. This retreat was a culmination of my desire to create a safe space to explore the dreams we have for our lives and confront the fears that keep us from realizing those dreams. Today, I opened up registration to the next Being Brave retreat scheduled for April 9th.
I have recently been working on a 6 week devotional guide for those who attend the retreat to use as a followup to the work we will be doing during the retreat. This devotional guide will be exclusively for the retreat attendees. I am excited to see this community grow and see who might be drawn to join us on April 9th.
Here is some feedback from those who attended our first retreat:
I am leaving here feeling empowered to take the next right step in my journey towards bravery. I’ve learned the vital need to turn down the voice of my pesky inner critic and turn up the volume of my heavenly Father’s voice.
This retreat blended all the elements of women’s struggles into a safe zone and wrapped each of us in the arms of God!
I loved the opportunity to be genuine and transparent with one another. All the sessions were excellent, but I especially loved the discussion of shame.
What an excellent retreat! It provided an opportunity to really dig deep into some areas and honestly face the areas needing improvement in a safe and vulnerable environment. Thanks for being brave, Kelly! You inspired and encouraged me to go forth without fear!
